COVINGTON – There is one thing everyone knows; how great BBQ can be. Everyone has a favorite, and everyone knows someone with the best technique. Now imagine the chance to celebrate this beloved food with demos, contests and family fun. Coming soon to Covington is that very celebration, and a chance to sample some of the best BBQ these mountains have to offer.
If you, or someone you know, happen to have that great technique that makes your BBQ the best around, then the KCBS Backyard Competition is a chance to showcase your skills. Teams will compete to win in different meat categories, with a grand prize of $500. Different vendors will be offering delicious foods, live music will make you want to tap your feet, and tons of different activities for the whole family will keep you entertained all day. Put together food and fun, and you’ve got a pretty good idea of what to expect.
At the 10th Annual Covington Cork and Pork Festival, participants and attendees will get together for two days of fun, flavor and feasting. Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3, downtown Covington will present this exciting event for anyone interested in participating.
