Abraham Lincoln once said, “All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”

This sentiment has been shared by sons and daughters since the beginning of time, and will no doubt continue to be shared until time reaches its end. It is for this reason, and so many others, that we honor our mothers each May by celebrating “Mother’s Day.”

This year, Mother’s Day will be celebrated on Sunday, May 9.

It is a day for love and laughter, family and togetherness. It is a day for flowers and cards, candy and hugs. It is a special day, a day just for mom…and it’s our job to make it that way.

So how do we do that? How do we give this special woman a special day? Well, we say a lot of nice things, and should probably start her day off with breakfast in bed. And after that, gifts…definitely gifts.

But what gift could ever encapsulate our appreciation for our mother?

If we were a man who makes potions in a traveling show, our gift would be our song. Unfortunately, not that many of us can write a tune like Elton John. Therefore, we need to try a little harder. Mom is a rock and the foundation upon which our lives are built. And if we are princes and princesses, then mom is a queen.

And queens deserve to be pampered.

What better way to show mom how much we care than by giving her a day all to herself? A stress-free day in a place where her worries can melt away…
